Our Reading
The game followed a familiar script.
Takeshita’s win was a long time coming, but it was spoiled by Fletcher’s betrayal. The crowd was electric, but Okada’s loss was a bitter pill to swallow. Takeshita’s celebration was short-lived, as Fletcher’s music hit and he turned on his former ally. This one felt recognizable early.
Okada’s inability to finish the match was surprising, given his reputation. Takeshita’s resilience was admirable, but ultimately, it was Fletcher’s surprise attack that stole the show. The Don Callis Family’s infighting is starting to get out of hand. This is a rivalry that will continue to escalate.
