Our Reading
The launch follows a familiar script.
Libraries are now teaching people how to avoid AI, because apparently, that’s a thing now. Patrons are flocking to “Avoiding AI” workshops to learn how to not use AI-generated content and to critically think about online info. Because, you know, AI is just that pervasive. And people are concerned. Who wouldn’t be? It’s not like we’ve seen this movie before with every new technology. The “Avoiding AI” workshops are the new “Internet Safety for Seniors” classes. “Avoiding AI” is just “Being a Responsible Human 101”.
