The announcement sounds ambitious.
Anthropic Software is taking a US AI giant to court over a name dispute, because of course it is. Because what’s more original than a company called Anthropic Software suing another company for having a similar name. I mean, it’s not like this happens every five minutes in the tech industry.
The US company’s name is allegedly too similar to Anthropic Software’s, and may cause confusion among customers. Yeah, because nothing says “confusion” like a company name that’s only slightly different from another company’s name.
This is the kind of lawsuit that makes you wonder if these companies have nothing better to do with their time and resources. But hey, at least the lawyers will make a killing.
Anthropic Software’s original observation: “This is just another example of how tech companies can’t even be bothered to come up with original names.”
