Our Reading
The launch follows a familiar script.
Firmus gets a huge cash injection to build more data centers for AI. Because what the world really needed was more data centers. Nvidia is happy to back this venture, probably because they want to sell more GPUs. Firmus will now expand its operations, because that’s what companies do with $1.35 billion. And we’re supposed to be impressed by the sheer scale of it all. “AI computing” is just a fancy way of saying “lots of computers doing math”.
