Summary
A recent Quinnipiac University poll found that 15% of Americans are open to having an AI program as their direct supervisor. The poll did not specify what type of tasks or jobs these respondents would be willing to do under AI supervision.
Our Reading
The announcement sounds ambitious.
Quinnipiac University polled Americans about working under AI supervision. 15% said they’re down with it. Because who needs human managers, right? This is just the latest “innovation” in the long line of “new” ideas that are just rehashed from the past. “AI supervisor” is just a fancy way of saying “automated taskmaster”. And we’re shocked that only 15% of people are eager to trade in their human boss for a robot overlord.
