Our Reading
The launch follows a familiar script.
Another day, another hack. Odido’s breach is just the latest in a long line of phone and internet companies being targeted by hackers. The fact that highly confidential information about phone customers was stolen is not surprising. After all, this is what hackers do. What’s surprising is that companies like Odido still haven’t figured out how to stop them. Because, apparently, “highly confidential” just means “stored on a server with a weak password”.
