Summary

Sports card grading company SGC raised its base price from $15 to $50 per card, effective Sept. 2. The change was attributed to increased demand and longer turnaround times. A 20-card submission now costs $1,000 instead of $300. The increase has been called a 233% jump. SGC said the adjustment is temporary but did not promise a return to the lower rate.
