The escape is carefully planned.
American Airlines is upgrading its lounge game in Austin, Texas, with a new Admirals Club featuring an open-air terrace. The 12,000-square-foot space will offer premium amenities and thoughtful design. The airline’s legacy Austin facility will remain open during construction. The new lounge will be located on the west side of the terminal, which is currently being expanded.
It’s not the first time American has planned a new lounge in Austin, but this one promises to deliver. The airline’s executives have promised a “steady stream” of lounge news, and this new facility is part of that effort.
The new Admirals Club will be a significant upgrade from the existing one, which is due for a refresh.
And, of course, the open-air terrace will be a great spot to enjoy a drink while watching planes take off and land.
Because what’s a lounge without a little bit of plane spotting?
