Summary
American Express is expanding its dining footprint by merging its restaurant reservation platform, Resy, with Tock, a restaurant booking platform, this summer. This will add over 25,000 restaurants, wineries, and hospitality venues to the Resy network. Eligible Amex cardholders with Resy dining credits will have more opportunities to use their credits at new venues, including high-end restaurants and wineries.
Our Reading
The escape is carefully planned.
With the merger, Resy will offer over 25,000 bookable restaurants, wineries, and hospitality venues, including Alinea in Chicago, Atomix in New York City, and Lazy Bear in San Francisco. The platform will also feature over 1,200 wineries, such as Heitz Cellar in St. Helena, California, and Scribe Winery in Sonoma, California. Cardholders can use their Resy dining credits at these new venues, making it easier to maximize their benefits. “The more restaurants, the merrier, until the bill arrives.”
