Meta rolls out end-to-end encryption, because that’s not something you’ve heard before. The company promises that messages will be more private and secure, which is what they all say. “Vanish mode” on Instagram is just a fancy name for “disappearing messages.” And, of course, group chats on Messenger will get end-to-end encryption, eventually.
Meta said these “incognito conversations” are not saved, and messages will disappear by default once you close the chat. Because that’s exactly what happened with Snapchat.
