Summary

Deltа Air Lines has announced the restoration of its Boston-Honolulu flights, which will operate four times per week, and the launch of a new nonstop route from Minneapolis-St. Paul to Maui. The flights will start on December 19, 2026. Delta previously operated the Boston-Honolulu route but dropped it due to underperformance. The airline is also expanding its service to Hawaii from other hubs, including Atlanta, Detroit, and New York.

Our Reading

The escape is carefully planned.

Deltа’s Boston-Honolulu flights will operate on an Airbus A330-300 with lie-flat Delta One seats, premium economy recliners, and extra-legroom Comfort seats. The Minneapolis-St. Paul to Maui route will also use an A330-300. Both flights will offer a range of amenities, including lounge access and in-flight entertainment. The return of the Boston-Honolulu route means that current service to Hawaii from the New York City area will lose the distinction of being the longest domestic flights in America.

After a year without nonstop flights to Hawaii, Boston travelers can once again escape to paradise without a layover… for a price.
