Summary
Rep. Mike Haridopolos, R-Fla., played a key role in pushing Rep. Cory Mills out of his Florida House seat during the 2026 midterm primary. Haridopolos, who initially warned about Mills’ scandals, helped recruit Ryan Elijah to run against Mills. Despite Mills’ ties to President Trump, he lost the primary. Haridopolos later supported Elijah, who is now running against Democrat Bale Dalton. Haridopolos has built strong relationships with GOP leaders and has a focus on space policy, particularly related to the Kennedy Space Center.
