Our Reading
The decision gets a new name.
Kalani Sitake’s choice to stay at BYU over Penn State was all about the benjamins – or rather, the NIL funding. He got a better offer from his current school, and that was all the convincing he needed. It’s not about the job, it’s about the extras that come with it. Sitake’s decision was all about what was best for him, and that’s the real MVP. BYU gets to keep its coach, and Penn State gets Matt Campbell – everybody wins, right?
Increased funding is just a nice way of saying “we’ll pay you more to stay”.
