Restaurants and bars are taking phones away, and it’s not just a trend. Delilah’s supper club has a no-phones policy, and some Chick-Fil-A locations offer free ice cream for turning over your phone. The goal is to create a more intimate setting and protect patron privacy. Americans spend too much time on their devices, and phone-free environments are becoming a needed break.
It’s a subtle sign that the phone-free revolution is entering a new phase.
