Setting your Southwest card as your default payment method is all that’s required to start earning. But, as The Points Guy points out, you might be able to earn more rewards on ride-hailing services with another card.
It’s a benefit that’s as easy to use as possible, but requires a bit of consideration to maximize.
And, of course, there’s the question: are we really “escaping” if we’re still earning points?
