Our reading
Warren Sapp’s decision to kick a fan over an umbrella is the kind of thing that makes you wonder if the NFL ever taught its players how to handle a rainy day. The man was just trying to stay dry, and Sapp was trying to be a human umbrella—until the fan got too close for comfort. Then, in a moment that could’ve been a viral clip of a football legend losing his cool, Sapp instead extended a hand to the fan’s daughter like he was trying to make a new friend. It’s like he thought the whole thing was a game of ‘Let’s Be Nice’ and the fan was just playing the wrong rules. The only thing more confusing than the kick was the handshake.
