Nevis’s founders, once desk mates at Revolut, now lead a company that promises to free advisors from paperwork, but the real magic is how it lets them work more hours without actually working harder. The AI does the busywork, but the human still has to handle the clients, the meetings, and the existential dread of being a middleman between money and people.

The startup’s growth is impressive, but it’s also a sign that the financial industry is more interested in scaling efficiency than in solving the real problem: why anyone would want to be a financial advisor in the first place. The AI might save time, but it also makes the job more replaceable, which is exactly the kind of irony that makes venture capital happy.
