Our reading
Nate Hobbs, a 49ers cornerback, showed up to a Halloween party dressed as Daejon Love, the man who scammed women by pretending to be a 49ers player. Love was already in trouble for doing exactly that.
Now, if Love’s scheme was so convincing that a real player thought it was a good costume, it raises the question: how many other 49ers fans have been scammed by someone who looked like a real player?
At least the party had a clear hierarchy: the con artist was the guest of honor, and the real player was just there to play dress-up.
