Our Reading
The launch follows a familiar script.
Intellexa’s Predator spyware is just the latest tool in the never-ending cycle of government surveillance. The fact that it’s been used against a journalist in Angola is hardly surprising, given the country’s history of suppressing dissent. The real question is how many other governments are using similar tools to silence their critics. Because, you know, “national security” and all that. And let’s be real, “sanctioned surveillance vendor” is just a euphemism for “we know you’re bad, but we’ll look the other way”.
