Our Reading
The launch follows a familiar script.
BYD’s Blade Battery 2.0 promises faster charging, because that’s exactly what we needed – another incremental upgrade to make last year’s model obsolete. The battery can handle up to 1.5 megawatts, which is apparently a big deal. Because who doesn’t want to fill up their car in record time? It’s not like we’ve been here before with every new battery tech.
Original observation: It’s amazing how often “revolutionary” battery tech is just a new number.
