Delta’s new route from JFK to LIR promises a break from the cold winter weather. The flight will operate on Saturdays during the winter season, using one of Delta’s Airbus A321neos. The Guanacaste region, where LIR is located, is known for its beautiful beaches and popular resorts, including the Andaz Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo and the Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique. The new route will also provide easier access to the upcoming JW Marriott property in the northern part of the country. As with any carefully planned escape, the Wi-Fi will likely be strong.
