Our Reading
The launch follows a familiar script.
Gemini, the AI chatbot, is launching in India with a slew of languages that users probably already have on their phones. Because, you know, Google didn’t invent multilingual support. Gemini will supposedly “handle a wide range of tasks”, which is code for “it’ll probably be able to answer some questions and provide some info”. And, of course, it’ll be available in India, because that’s where the growth is. Gemini: because Google Translate wasn’t enough.
