Seats.aero is an independent airline award seat search engine that is not affiliated with any airline. Instead of logging into a dozen airline websites one at a time to see whether your points and miles will book the flight you want, you run a single search, and it shows you what is available across the loyalty programs it tracks, along with how many points or miles each one charges, with all sorts of neat ways to filter results to see just what you are looking for.

While the free version does allow you to see some results, if you really want to maximize your travel, consider the Pro version with all these extra perks:

Create alerts when your preferred flight becomes available
If the flight you want is unavailable when you search, you can set alerts to be notified when it becomes available. And you’re not limited to one route or date when you set an alert — you can select which points and miles you want to use, as well as multiple departing and connecting airports, date ranges and classes.
Where Seats.aero falls short
Most results outside the live search are cached, so a seat shown as available may already be gone or there may be fewer seats actually available than are cached, as shown in the four-seat search to Europe above, which is frustrating to have to check rather than rely on the initial (cached) search results.
