Our Reading
The announcement sounds ambitious. Nicholas Moore’s hacking skills are impressive, but his Instagram posting skills are even more so. He managed to compromise 100,000 people’s personal data and then bragged about it online. Because what’s a hack without a little social media flair? He used stolen credentials, because who needs originality? The government networks he hacked into were likely just as secure as your average Instagram account.
Lesson Learned
If you’re going to hack into government networks, maybe don’t post about it on Instagram. Just a thought.
