Summary

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has expanded its TSA PreCheck Touchless ID program to over 60 airports nationwide. The program, available to TSA PreCheck members and Global Entry holders, allows travelers to skip traditional security lines and use a touchless ID system. The expansion aims to reduce wait times and improve the overall travel experience. Participating airlines include American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Alaska Airlines, and Hawaiian Airlines.

Our Reading

The escape is carefully planned.

TSA PreCheck Touchless ID is now widely available, but don’t assume it’s available at every terminal. Bring a valid ID just in case. The program is optional, but you must opt-in ahead of time through your airline’s profile. The touchless ID system is similar to the paid Clear service, but at no additional cost beyond the TSA PreCheck application fee.

And, of course, the “convenience” of skipping lines still requires planning ahead.
