Does Texas Roadhouse Have A Kids’ Menu Policy?
Everything is bigger in Texas, and the same can be applied to Texas Roadhouse portions. The kids’ meal has gained popularity among adults due to Texas Roadhouse’s hefty kids’ meal portions at a great price.
Kids’ meals range from mini cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, steak, and more. These kids’ meals cost anywhere from $6.49 to $12.99. All ages have taken note of this and skipped out on regular adult meals in favor of this.
According to The Sun, Texas Roadhouse has enforced a strict policy with its kids’ menu. Kids under 12 are only allowed to order off the kids’ menu. This policy is to be implemented across all 800 locations across the U.S.
So any person over the age of 13 can be denied the ability to order a meal from the kids’ menu.

Adults Will Test Their Luck
Adults will test their luck by trying to order off the kids’ menu to save a buck at a restaurant.
However, one Texas Roadhouse server questioned a mother when she tried to order off the kids’ menu for her 11-year-old daughter.
In a TikTok with over 530,400 views, Cynthia (@cynkaygarza) says, “I’m at Texas Roadhouse, and they were asking for our drinks, and my daughter is 11. Sometimes she gets adult food, and then sometimes she gets a kids’ meal.”
The mother elaborates that her daughter will decide what type of meal depending on how hungry she is. For this meal, she wanted a kids’ meal, as she wasn’t as hungry.
The mom says she ordered her 11-year-old daughter a kids’ meal, and the server laughed.
Server Questioned The Age
“He looked at me and chuckled. … I swear she’s 11,” she shares.
The mother shows her daughter, who is seated on the opposite side of the table. The Texas Roadhouse server, the mom says, made a remark around how she looks old and that he may need to see a report card to verify the age.
“I swear she’s 11, just looks … big,” Cynthia concludes.
Despite the small awkward moment, Cynthia shared with BroBible that her daughter still received the kids’ meal.
Cynthia told BroBible, “It really wasn’t a big deal. The server didn’t deny my daughter a kids’ meal; I think he just reacted because she looked a little older. We got the kids’ meal, and it wasn’t a negative experience.”
