Summary
Bryson DeChambeau has been criticized for being “performative” after a strong performance at the British Open. To combat this narrative, he broke contest conditions to provide a young fan with a new set of golf clubs. The fan’s father had posted a video on TikTok saying he would buy his son new clubs if a PGA player commented on the video. DeChambeau commented, and the fan received the clubs despite DeChambeau’s comment not satisfying the conditions of the giveaway.
